On Friday 22nd November, we welcomed 5 Hockerill grandparents (Mrs Thomson, Mrs Woods, Mr Capy, Mr Cooper and Mr Turner) into the department to work with our Year 8’s.
The students diplomatically quizzed them about what it’s like to get old and the daily struggles that come with it. Over the next 10 weeks the students will be designing a product that will aid their client in some way.
The day was hugely successful in bringing two generations together to learn and understand more about each other. We would like to thank our guests for the candour and enthusiasm which which they engaged their audience and very much look forward to seeing them back here in December to evaluate the design outcomes.
