Yr 10 DT trip to London

We are delighted to welcome our Year 10’s who will be studying the new DT GCSE, which combines the former disciplines of Electronics, Graphics, Resistant Materials and Textiles. We have begun the course looking at the work of famous designers and manufacturers. So the students could gain first hand research, we took them to the V&A and the new Design Museum for a day of sketching, exhibitions and workshops.

Highlights were the stunning revamp of the Design Museum itself, the Designer Maker User exhibition and seeing Mrs Wright decked out in a bright pink virtual shell suit!

We have also decided to create our very own Favourite Objects Wall in the DT corridor. Students will decide which object under £5 and over £5 they could not do without.
